Why Pacroban Is Helping Bring Mask Off to Life
In 2027, Pacroban will mark 10 years of serving people through connectivity.
Over those years, we have developed a philosophy around our work. Every day, we help people connect better. When a customer reaches out, it is often because their connection has failed. Maybe they are connecting a projector for an important presentation. We see how frustrated they become when a cable does not arrive on time or the connection does not work when they need it. Moments like this shows how important a reliable connection is.
Connection has many forms and shapes.
Pacroban is a connection design company. We design connections.
Soon, we plan to launch a tabletop game called Mask Off.
From a Side Project to a Real Product
The journey started in 2021 as a side project of mine.
During 2020 and 2021, when global supply chains became vulnerable, I began looking for opportunities to reduce shipping distances and our dependence on overseas manufacturing. Mask Off is part of a larger effort to bring more of what we make closer to home, with the goal of manufacturing in the United States—ideally in our home state of Florida.
But Mask Off first needs to be demanded, then manufactured.
That is why we plan to produce it in bulk only after a crowdfunding campaign. People will effectively preorder the game through Kickstarter. We will then print the decks and ship them to the people who backed the campaign.
Unlike an electronic product needed for an urgent installation, a game can wait to be played. There is no reason to overproduce it before people ask for it.
What Is Mask Off?
Mask Off is a fast matching card game for 2–7 players. It takes less than a minute to learn and usually 5–10 minutes to play.
Players match masks and try to get rid of all their cards first. Each card dropped is also, metaphorically, a mask being dropped—bringing the player closer to their true self.
The game began five years ago and has been shaped by hundreds of pieces of feedback. So far, only 50 test decks have been printed. People played and asked for a copy.
We are now actively building the launch list.

How Mask Off Fits Inside Pacroban
Pacroban's electronics products and Mask Off will remain separate for now. Once the game launches, its operations will be managed inside Pacroban.
