8K HDMI 2.1 Fiber Optic Cable with Detachable Connector – 48Gbps Active Optical Cable (AOC), 16ft to 328ft

Send uncompressed 8K@60Hz and 4K@120Hz video and audio up to 328ft with no loss in quality. This HDMI 2.1 hybrid active optical cable (AOC) converts HDMI signals to optical signals, so it delivers full 48Gbps bandwidth over long distances where ordinary copper HDMI cables fail. The hybrid fiber and copper construction blocks electromagnetic interference for lossless transmission along the entire length.

The display-end connector is detachable. A slim HDMI Type D plug pulls easily through conduits, walls and ceilings, and then the Type A connector clips back on. The cable is thin (4.8mm), lightweight and flexible, and it needs no external power. It is ideal for home theaters, gaming setups, conference rooms, classrooms and building-wide installations.

Compatible Devices

Source devices (Source end): Laptops and computers, game consoles, DVD and Blu-ray players, TV boxes and streaming devices, and cameras.

Display devices (Display end): HDTVs, monitors, projectors, home theater systems and multimedia displays.

Perfect for: Home theaters, gaming rooms, conference and meeting rooms, classrooms, auditoriums and in-wall or ceiling projector installations.

Tip: To get 8K@60Hz, 4K@120Hz, VRR or Dolby Vision, both your source device and your display must support these features.

How to Connect

This is a directional active optical cable, and each connector is labeled. To connect it:

  1. Plug the "Source" connector into your source device, such as a laptop, game console, Blu-ray player, TV box or camera.
  2. Plug the "Display" connector into your display device, such as a TV, monitor or projector.
  3. Select the correct HDMI input on your display. The picture appears automatically, with no software or external power needed.

In-wall or conduit installation: Detach the Type A RX connector from the display end, pull the slim end through the conduit or wall, and then reattach the connector before plugging it in.

Note: Do not connect the cable backwards. The signal travels in one direction only, from the Source end to the Display end.

Installation & Care Tips
  • When routing through pipes or conduit at a 90° angle, use a right-angle fitting with a curved joint.
  • Lay the cable out carefully in a slot or channel to avoid scratching the jacket.
  • Do not forcefully pull, twist or knot the cable.
  • The maximum tensile (pulling) force is 10kg, so do not pull the cable hard during installation.
  • Do not hit, impact or smash the connectors, as this can damage the internal chip.
  • When plugging or unplugging, hold the metal connector housing and never pull on the cable body.
Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does this cable need a power adapter?

A: No. It needs no external power supply. Just plug it in.

Q: Is it good for gaming consoles and gaming PCs?

A: Yes. It supports HDMI 2.1 features such as 4K@120Hz, VRR and ALLM, as long as your console or PC and your TV or monitor support them too.

Q: What is the detachable connector for?

A: The Type A connector on the display end can be removed, leaving a slim Type D plug that fits through narrow conduits and wall openings. Reattach it after routing the cable.

Q: Can I plug it in either direction?

A: No. Connect the "Source" end to your source device and the "Display" end to your TV, monitor or projector.

Q: Why choose a fiber optic HDMI cable over a regular HDMI cable?

A: Regular copper HDMI cables lose signal quality over long runs, especially at 4K and 8K. This fiber optic cable keeps full 48Gbps transmission stable up to 328ft, resists electromagnetic interference, and is thinner and lighter for easier installation.

Q: Which audio formats does it support?

A: It passes through LPCM, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio and DSD audio, including 8-channel LPCM at 192kHz/24-bit.
