USB-C to HDMI Fiber Optic Cable – 8K@60Hz Active Optical Cable (AOC) for Long-Distance Video
Connect your laptop, tablet or phone to a TV, monitor or projector up to 98ft away with zero quality loss. This USB Type-C to HDMI hybrid active optical cable (AOC) carries high-speed video signals over fiber optic and low-speed signals over copper, so it delivers stable, uncompressed 8K@60Hz and 4K@120Hz video over distances where ordinary copper USB-C to HDMI cables fail.
The USB-C input supports DisplayPort 1.4 Alt Mode with up to 32.4Gbps video bandwidth, and the cable supports HDR, HDR10, HDR10+ and HDCP 2.3. It needs no external power – just plug and play. Thin (4.8mm), lightweight and flexible, it is ideal for homes, conference rooms, classrooms and in-wall or in-conduit installations.

Compatible Devices
Source devices (USB-C end): Laptops, tablets / pads and smartphones with a USB-C port.
Display devices (HDMI end): HDTVs, monitors, projectors, home theater systems and multimedia displays.
Perfect for: Home theaters, living rooms, conference and meeting rooms, classrooms, offices and multi-room building installations.
Important: Your USB-C device must support video output (DisplayPort Alt Mode) through its USB-C port. USB-C ports that only charge or transfer data will not output video. Check your device's specifications if you are unsure.
How to Connect
This is a directional active optical cable. Each connector is labeled:
- Plug the "Source" USB-C connector into your source device (laptop, tablet or phone).
- Plug the "Display" HDMI connector into your display device (TV, monitor or projector).
- Select the correct HDMI input on your display – the picture appears automatically. No software or external power is needed.
Note: Do not connect the cable backwards. Signal travels in one direction only – from USB-C (Source) to HDMI (Display). This cable does not convert HDMI to USB-C.
Installation & Care Tips
- When routing through pipes or conduit at a 90° angle, use a right-angle fitting with a curved joint.
- Lay the cable out carefully in a slot or channel to avoid scratching the jacket.
- Do not forcefully pull, twist or knot the cable.
- Maximum tensile (pulling) force: 10kg – do not pull the cable hard during installation.
- Do not hit, impact or smash the connectors, as this can damage the internal chip.
- When plugging or unplugging, hold the zinc alloy connector housing – never pull on the cable body.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does this cable need a power adapter?
A: No. It needs no external power supply – just plug it in.
Q: What is the maximum resolution?
A: Up to 8K@60Hz (7680×4320). It also supports 4K@120Hz and 4K@30Hz, depending on your source and display.
Q: Can I use it to connect an HDMI device to a USB-C monitor?
A: No. The cable is one-directional: USB-C source to HDMI display only.
Q: Why choose a fiber optic cable over a regular USB-C to HDMI cable?
A: Regular copper cables lose signal quality over long runs. Fiber optic transmission keeps the signal stable over 16–98ft, resists EMI/RFI interference, and the cable is thinner, lighter and more flexible.
Q: Does it support HDR and protected content?
A: Yes. It supports HDR, HDR10 and HDR10+, and is HDCP 2.3 compliant.
Q: Will it work with my phone?
A: It works with phones and tablets whose USB-C port supports video output (DisplayPort Alt Mode). Charge-only or data-only USB-C ports will not output video.
