Armored 8K HDMI 2.1 Fiber Optic Cable – 48Gbps Active Optical Cable (AOC), Crush & Chew Resistant, 16ft to 328ft

Send uncompressed 8K@60Hz and 4K@120Hz video and audio up to 328ft with a cable built to survive tough installations. This armored HDMI 2.1 hybrid active optical cable (AOC) converts HDMI signals to optical signals for lossless transmission at up to 48Gbps, and its hybrid fiber and copper construction blocks electromagnetic interference along the entire length.

A thick metal armor protection layer solves the biggest weaknesses of ordinary fiber optic HDMI cables, which are poor resistance to pulling, crushing and chewing. Inside, the cable combines metal armor, nylon wire, optical fiber and copper, and a Silicon Line (Germany) optoelectronic chip keeps the signal stable. It still stays slim (5.9mm), flexible and conduit-friendly, and it needs no external power. That makes it ideal for homes, conference rooms, commercial buildings and demanding installation environments.

  • Metal armored protection: resists tension, pressure and chewing
  • 8K@60Hz (YUV 4:4:4), 8K@30Hz, 4K@120Hz at up to 48Gbps
  • HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and HLG pass-through
  • Silicon Line (Germany) chip for stable, reliable transmission
  • Long distance: 14 lengths from 16ft to 328ft

Compatible Devices

Source devices (Source end): Laptops and computers, game consoles, DVD and Blu-ray players, TV boxes and streaming devices, and cameras.

Display devices (Display end): HDTVs, monitors, projectors, home theater systems and multimedia displays.

Perfect for: Home theaters, conference and meeting rooms, commercial buildings, classrooms, auditoriums, and installations where the cable may face pulling, crushing or chewing.

Tip: To get 8K@60Hz, 4K@120Hz or Dolby Vision, both your source device and your display must support these features.

How to Connect

This is a directional active optical cable, and each connector is labeled. To connect it:

  1. Plug the "SOURCE" connector into your source device, such as a laptop, game console, Blu-ray player, TV box or camera.
  2. Plug the "DISPLAY" connector into your display device, such as a TV, monitor or projector.
  3. Select the correct HDMI input on your display. The picture appears automatically, with no software or external power needed.

Note: Do not connect the cable backwards. The signal travels in one direction only, from the Source end to the Display end.

Installation & Care Tips
  • When routing through pipes or conduit at a 90° angle, use a right-angle fitting with a curved joint.
  • Lay the cable out carefully in a slot or channel to avoid scratching the jacket.
  • Do not forcefully pull, twist or knot the cable.
  • The maximum tensile (pulling) force is 10kg, so do not pull the cable hard during installation.
  • Do not hit, impact or smash the connectors, as this can damage the internal chip.
  • When plugging or unplugging, hold the metal connector housing and never pull on the cable body.
Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How is this different from a regular fiber optic HDMI cable?

A: It adds a thick metal armor layer and nylon wire around the fiber, so it resists pulling, crushing and chewing much better than standard fiber optic HDMI cables, while keeping the same 8K/48Gbps performance.

Q: Does this cable need a power adapter?

A: No. It needs no external power supply. Just plug it in.

Q: Can I plug it in either direction?

A: No. Connect the "SOURCE" end to your source device and the "DISPLAY" end to your TV, monitor or projector.

Q: Can it be installed in walls or conduit?

A: Yes. Its 5.9mm diameter and multi-layer shielded design support conduit installation. Follow the installation tips above.

Q: Why choose a fiber optic HDMI cable over a regular copper HDMI cable?

A: Copper HDMI cables lose signal quality over long runs, especially at 4K and 8K. This fiber optic cable keeps full 48Gbps transmission stable up to 328ft and resists electromagnetic interference.

Q: Which audio formats does it support?

A: It transmits 7.1-channel LPCM, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio and DSD.
