1. Plug the HDMI end into your TV, monitor or projector.
2. Plug the USB-C end into your laptop, tablet or phone.
3. Select the matching HDMI input on your display.
4. If there is no picture, check that your device supports DisplayPort Alt Mode, reconnect both ends and restart the display.

When routing the cable through walls or conduit, avoid sharp bends and do not pull on the connectors.

Will this cable work with my phone or laptop?

It works if your device’s USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode, which includes Thunderbolt 3 ports and many USB-C 3.1 ports. Ports that only charge or only transfer data do not output video.

How do I avoid signal loss over long distances?
